Breast augmentation is individualized and involves the use of either silicone or saline implants for people wanting to enhance the loss of volume to their bust line after weight loss, pregnancy and breast feeding. Procedure Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery that invovles inserting a silicone gel or saline prosthesis (implant). The prosthesis can be inserted through an incision made in the crease of the breast (junction area of the breast on the chest wall) or through an incision near the armpit. In all cases the scars are minimal and discreet. Every case is different and your options will be discussed with Dr. Teanoosh Zadeh during your consultation. |

Risks

Post operative & Healing Follow up visits are made regularly with Dr. Zadeh. Pain and discomfort can easily be controlled with pain medication prescribed by Dr. Zadeh and usually diminish within three to four days. After three to six months the tissues are sufficiently relaxed to see the quality of the final result. Avoiding streneous physical activity, it is possible to resume normal activities and return to work within two weeks. Dr. Zadeh often recommends IPL treatments to make the scars even less noticeable. In the days following your surgery it is important to always be careful with streneous activities, most people regularly return to work after one week. |
